🌳 Backstory

Loris “Windgrace” Alebrew was once a name whispered with admiration through the streets and rooftops of Windgrace. A true folk hero — a shadow that struck corrupt lords, a generous hand for the starving, and a legend who inspired hope where there was none.

But the path of a hero isn’t straight… and Loris stumbled.

Whether it was one too many nights at the tavern, the temptation of easy gold, or the weariness of being the only good soul in a crooked world, Loris drifted from his noble path. Somewhere along the way, he lost sight of who he was — becoming more like a comic tale than a heroic ballad, a rogue who once gave to the poor but now, more often than not, pockets it “for later redistribution.”

He’s got a belly now, a reputation in shambles, and a laugh that often hides shame — but behind it all burns a single, stubborn truth:

Loris wants it back. All of it.

The honor. The hope. The stories sung in his name.

He wants to be a true folk hero again. Not for fame. Not for fortune. But for the people — and for himself.

🎯 Personality

Loris talks big — mostly about the past, when he was thinner, faster, and definitely didn’t fall off rooftops (twice in one night). He’s got a silver tongue when he wants to (Persuasion +1, Deception +4) and a mean sense of style (he claims he invented the layered cloak look). Still, when you need someone to disappear into the night, pick a noble’s pocket, or pull off a prison break, he’s the one you call.

His guilty pleasure? Beer, Whisky, Rum or Vodka…
His secret dream? “Can I be always popular no matter from who I steel!?”

🧤 Skills & Tricks

  • Stealth +11 – A shadow with a hangover is still a shadow.
  • Sleight of Hand +8 – Lifted a guard captain’s badge while apologizing to him.
  • Acrobatics +11 – Used to flip through windows. Now he crawls through them… impressively.
  • Perception +7 – Notices more than he lets on, especially shiny things.

And don’t forget Sneak Attack: +5d6 extra damage — perfect for a “back-in-my-day” beatdown.

🧪 Signature Rogue Moves

  • Fast Hands: Pickpocket mid-conversation like it’s poetry.
  • Cunning Strike: Choose between tripping, poisoning, or just walking away — while your opponent wonders what just happened.
  • Uncanny Dodge & Evasion: Loris may stumble, but he rarely gets hit hard.
  • Reliable Talent: When he rolls bad, it’s still better than most people’s best.

🔥 The Road Ahead

He knows he’ll never be the same. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be better.

Loris isn’t trying to rewrite his past — he’s trying to earn his future. Every step he takes, every risk he takes, is one step toward becoming the hero the people still whisper about.

“Maybe he’s just a drunk with a bow.”

“Maybe. But didn’t he save that village last winter?”

He doesn’t want to be a memory anymore. He wants to be a legend agai
